On April 1st 2010, members of the Ice Cream Alliance will go a little bonkers and give away free ice cream in aid of the Variety Club Childrens Charity who help sick, disabled and disadvantaged children. The goal of the ICA is to raise £14,000 that will allow us to purchase and donate a Sunshine Coach that will allow the youngsters to go on outings and educational trips to exciting places.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use a well known national charity to promote your business and do some good. Variety Club Childrens Charity will be providing national support and a well known celebrity to help promote the day. Alternatively you can choose a local charity of your choice if you think it would raise more awareness for the day.

The Free National Scoop Day is now in its second year and after last years success we are allocating more time and resources to getting the day established and known as the national day for ice cream. We think this will benefit our members by promoting the positives of good quality, artisan and home made ice cream across the country
